Ho-ho-hold your reindeer! As we deck the halls and jingle all the way down the pier, get ready to unwrap a festive season like no other. Right here on the Eastern Shore, we’re mixing Southern charm with a sprinkle of holiday magic, serving up a yuletide cocktail that’s as unique as it is merry. From twinkling lights that could give the North Star a run for its money to holiday events peppermint-packed with fun, Fairhope is about to turn your silent nights into unforgettable Southern lights. So, grab your Santa hats and let’s sleigh our way through the 2025 holiday happenings on the Eastern Shore!
Fairhope’s Lighting of the Trees
November 20, 2025 | 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Downtown Fairhope
With over a million twinkling lights, holiday music, hot chocolate, a snowdrop, and pictures with Mrs. Claus, this event is one of our favorite Fairhope Christmas traditions. On the third Thursday of November, head to the intersection of Section Street and Fairhope Avenue at 5:30 to watch the lighting of our downtown trees as we kick off the Christmas season. The countdown begins at 6pm sharp, so arrive early!
Christmas on the Coast
November 20, 2025 | 7pm
Halstead Amphitheater
After the Lighting of the Trees, head to Halstead Amphitheater on Coastal Alabama’s Fairhope campus to enjoy free photo booth fun, ornament painting, and a petting zoo.
Fairhope’s 15th Annual Movie In The Street
November 22, 2025 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Fairhope Avenue
Bring your chairs, blankets, and holiday spirit to the 15th Annual Movie in the Street! Gather at the main intersection of Fairhope Avenue to enjoy a Christmas film with the whole family. Previous showings have included “The Grinch” and “The Polar Express.” Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite Christmas pajamas!
Breakfast with Santa
November 29, December 6, 13, & 20, 2025 | 7am – 11am
The Grand Hotel Resort & Spa
Santa is coming to the Grand Hotel! Come enjoy a full breakfast buffet, including favorites like the Grand omelet, waffle station, and freshly baked North Pole Pastries, in the Azalea Ballroom. Santa will be available for professional photographs. This holiday event sells out fast, so buy your tickets early!
Fairhope’s Magical Christmas Parade
December 5, 2025 | 6:30pm
Downtown Fairhope
Celebrate the holiday season with our community at the annual Fairhope Christmas Parade! This fun family event features over 60 festive units, from colorful floats with holiday themes to marching bands, local businesses, and even decked-out tractors. The highlight of the night will be Santa himself, who arrives to spread cheer over our city streets. Bring a chair and join the fun at this free holiday event!
Fairhope’s Santa Saturdays
December 6 & 13, 2025 | 10:30am – 12pm
Fairhope Museum of History
On the 6th and 13th of December, head downtown to the Fairhope Museum of History for a meet-and-greet with the big man in red. Bring your camera and snap a few photos, then stop by the Welcome Center to make your Christmas List and receive a special message in the mail!
Grand Hotel Holiday Stroll
Various Dates | 5pm – 8pm
The Grand Hotel Resort & Spa
Create a new tradition with a visit to the Grand Hotel for their Grand Holiday Stroll! Explore the hotel grounds on a magical holiday stroll that includes thousands of festive lights, Santa’s Workshop and Sleigh, a Gingerbread Display, hot chocolate and more! Be sure to snap a picture with Ms. Claus and browse the gift shop for the perfect presents. Tickets are $16 and can be purchased online here.
Fairhope’s New Year’s Eve Street Party
December 31, 2025 | 8:30pm – 12:30am
Downtown Fairhope
Ring in the New Year with a family-friendly celebration in the heart of downtown Fairhope! This festive street party will feature live music, face painting, fireworks, local food vendors, and a midnight ball drop to welcome 2026. This free, family-friendly event takes place at the corner of Fairhope Avenue and Church Street. Come early to enjoy specials at downtown restaurants and shops.
We hope all of your fun festivities are free of hazards or that d[readed holiday fever. But if injuries or illness do arise, visit Urgent Care of Fairhope for fast and friendly care close to home (and all of the holiday happenings). We’re open six days per week, no appointment needed. Check our waitlist online to time your visit and get in, out, and back to feeling merry and bright!
Our offices will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
