How to Give Back This Thanksgiving in Baldwin County, Alabama

Turkey Take-Out

Turkey Take-Out is a community-driven effort in South Alabama that partners with local schools to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need. Launched to support students facing poverty or homelessness, Turkey Take-Out delivers warm Thanksgiving dinners and non-perishable food items to help fill pantries across the county. Last year, over 250 volunteers came together to feed over 310 families in just two days! You can get involved by collecting foods, volunteering to package or deliver meals, making a tax-deductible donation, or simply sharing their message on your social feed.

Baldwin County Angels

Baldwin County Angels is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families in need across Baldwin County. They provide essential services like emergency food and clothing, Thanksgiving meal programs, wireless internet access, and holiday gift assistance, ensuring that everyone feels valued and cared for. Volunteers can get involved by helping with meal prep, donating food or clothing, or assisting in their Blessing Barn. Prodisee Pantry

Prodisee Pantry is a nonprofit community ministry in Spanish Fort, Alabama, dedicated to providing emergency food and disaster relief to local families in need. With over 210,000 family visits since 2003, Prodisee Pantry is the largest emergency food pantry in the county. They also manage a thrift shop in downtown Fairhope that collects and sells gently-used items to support their social service programs and provide affordable resources to clients. Blessed to Blessings Boxes

Blessed to Blessings is a nonprofit organization in Baldwin County that has established over 90 Blessing Boxes in locations across the area that serve as miniature food pantries. These boxes, routinely stocked with non-perishable food, hygiene products, and basic necessities, offer a discreet way for people to take what they need and leave what they can. You can get involved this Thanksgiving (or any day of the year) by donating items, sponsoring a new box in your neighborhood, or volunteering to help maintain existing boxes.
